Foxwoods Resort Casino is a fun spot to go with friends and even family. Headline acts grace the Fox Theater Stage and Comix Comedy Club. The Fox Tower (previously the MGM Tower) is connected via walkway to the rest of the resort, but offers a large outdoor pool and is in the same area as the main concert stage and Shrine nightclub. The Two Trees Inn is a short, complimentary shuttle ride away and offers cheaper rates as well as pet-friendly rooms. Book early for weekends and peak times; midweek you can usually just show up and get a room. You can also find plenty of inns nearby with free shuttles and competitive prices.
Must see/do at Foxwoods Resort Casino
If you or your wallet need a break from gambling, you’ll find plenty of other things to do. For excellent, albeit pricy dining, try David Burke’s restaurant Prime. Get the candied bacon appetizer; it will be the highlight of your trip.
The Scorpion Bar has tasty Mexican food and drinks, and on the weekend they’ve got live bands, awesome DJ’s, and girls in booty shorts dancing on the bars. Get there before nine on these nights to beat the cover charge.
If you can catch a show or see a concert at the Fox Theater, go for it. This is a fantastic venue, not too large, and with great views of the stage from almost any seat.

Foxwoods Resort Casino is a fun spot to go with friends and even family. Headline acts grace the Fox Theater Stage and Comix Comedy Club. The Pro Staff team was honored to attend and sponsor Pay It Forward Fund’s 12th Annual Casino Night fundraiser at the Medina Ballroom in February. This year’s sold-out event raised a record-breaking $412,000 for cancer patients in need.

*The Pay it Forward Blood Drives in Honor of Charlie Bonnici will take place at the Rampart Casino inside the Marquis Ballroom Saturday, November 28th, and Sunday, November 29th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Pay It Forward Fund (PIFF) is a non-profit organization that helps patients pay their bills while they undergo treatment for breast and women’s cancers. Their annual Casino Night helps raise funds to pay essential living expenses so patients can focus on what’s really important — getting healthy.
Jody Christiansen, VP of Pro Staff-Minnesota and PIFF board member, was thrilled with the results of this year’s event: “Every year we think it can’t get any better from the previous year in terms of impact or funds raised. And each year we outdo the previous. We stand in awe of what we as a community have done to impact the lives of local women who are struggling.”
The evening was filled with fun and inspiring moments. Patients and volunteers were honored with awards and a special video. The Fund-a-Need live and silent auction raised $103,000. True to the casino theme, attendees also participated in games and prize drawings.
Christiansen adds, “I am so humbled to be a part of this organization and humbled by the support Pro Staff has provided over the past five years.”

He calls his plan ’pay it forward’, which means the recipient of a favor does a favor for three others rather than paying the favor back. However, it needs to be a major favor that the recipient cannot complete him or herself.
Trevor does a favor for three people, asking each of them to ’pay the favor forward’ by doing favors for three other people, and so on, along a branching tree of good deeds. His first good deed is to let a homeless man named Jerry live in his garage, and Jerry pays the favor forward by doing car repairs for Trevor’s mother. Trevor’s efforts appear to fail when Jerry relapses into drug addiction, but Jerry pays his debt forward later by talking to a suicidal woman, who is about to jump off a bridge.
Meanwhile, Trevor’s mother Arlene confronts Eugene about Trevor’s project after discovering Jerry in their house. Trevor then selects Eugene as his next ’pay it forward’ target and tricks Eugene and Arlene into a romantic dinner date. This also appears to fail, and Trevor and Arlene argue about her love for Ricky, her alcoholic ex-husband, and Arlene slaps Trevor in a fit of anger. The two adults (Eugene and Arlene) are brought together again when Trevor runs away from home, and Arlene asks Eugene to help her find him.
After finding Trevor, Arlene begins to pursue Eugene sexually. Eugene has deep burn marks visible on his neck and face, and he initially resists Arlene’s overtures out of insecurity. When they finally sleep together, he is seen to have extensive scarring all over his torso. Arlene accepts Eugene’s physical disfigurement and forms an emotional bond with him, but quickly abandons their relationship when Ricky returns to her, claiming to have quit drinking. His return and her acceptance of it angers Eugene, whose own mother had a habit of taking his abusive, alcoholic father back. When Arlene attempts to explain to Eugene that she believes Ricky has changed, Eugene explains that his scars are the result of his father setting him on fire in a drunken rage. He berates Arlene for being ’one of those women’ and warns her of Ricky’s potential to abuse Trevor. When Ricky starts drinking again and resumes his abusive behavior, Arlene realizes her mistake and forces Ricky to leave.
Trevor’s school assignment marks the beginning of the story’s chronology, but the opening scene in the film shows one of the later favors in the ’pay it forward’ tree, in which a man gives a car to Los Angeles journalist Chris Chandler. As the film proceeds, Chris traces the chain of favors back to its origin as Trevor’s school project. After her date with Eugene, Arlene paid Jerry’s favor forward by forgiving her own mother, Grace, for her mistakes in raising Arlene, and Grace, who is homeless, helps a gang member escape from the police. The gang member then saves an asthmatic girl’s life in a hospital, and the girl’s father gives Chris his new car.
Chris finally identifies Trevor as the originator of ’pay it forward’ and conducts a recorded interview in which Trevor describes his hopes and concerns for the project. Eugene, hearing Trevor’s words, realizes that he and Arlene should be together. As Eugene and Arlene reconcile with an embrace, Trevor notices his friend Adam being bullied. He pays it forward to Adam by rushing into the scene and fighting the bullies while Eugene and Arlene rush to stop him. One of the bullies takes a switchblade out of his pocket and stabs Trevor in the stomach, and then the bullies run away from the scene. Trevor is taken to the hospital, where he dies from his injuries. This news is reported on television as well as the fact that the movement is spreading across the country; Arlene and Eugene are soon visited by hundreds of people who have participated in or heard of the ’pay it forward’ movement by gathering in a vigil to pay Trevor their respects, including Trevor’s friends and classmates, as well as the bullies (who are now remorseful) and other students from his school.Cast[edit]

Leslie Dixon adapted the screenplay from the book of the same name by Catherine Ryan Hyde, which was available as an open writing assignment.[2] Dixon struggled with the adaptation of the book in part because of multiple narrative voices within it. Specifically, the reporter, the central character in the film, does not show up until halfway through the novel. Stuck, Dixon considered returning the money she was paid for the assignment.[3] She eventually hit upon the idea to start with the reporter and trace the events backward.[3] Dixon presented the idea to Hyde who in turn liked it so much that she decided to change the then unpublished novel’s plot structure to mirror the film’s.[4] In the novel, the character of Eugene Simonet was originally an African-American man named Reuben St. Clair. When Arlene attempts to explain to Eugene that she believes Ricky has changed, Eugene explains that his scars are the result of his father setting him on fire in a drunken rage. He berates Arlene for being ’one of those women’ and warns her of Ricky’s potential to abuse Trevor. When Ricky starts drinking again and resumes his abusive behavior, Arlene realizes her mistake and forces Ricky to leave.
Trevor’s school assignment marks the beginning of the story’s chronology, but the opening scene in the film shows one of the later favors in the ’pay it forward’ tree, in which a man gives a car to Los Angeles journalist Chris Chandler. As the film proceeds, Chris traces the chain of favors back to its origin as Trevor’s school project. After her date with Eugene, Arlene paid Jerry’s favor forward by forgiving her own mother, Grace, for her mistakes in raising Arlene, and Grace, who is homeless, helps a gang member escape from the police. The gang member then saves an asthmatic girl’s life in a hospital, and the girl’s father gives Chris his new car.
Chris finally identifies Trevor as the originator of ’pay it forward’ and conducts a recorded interview in which Trevor describes his hopes and concerns for the project. Eugene, hearing Trevor’s words, realizes that he and Arlene should be together. As Eugene and Arlene reconcile with an embrace, Trevor notices his friend Adam being bullied. He pays it forward to Adam by rushing into the scene and fighting the bullies while Eugene and Arlene rush to stop him. One of the bullies takes a switchblade out of his pocket and stabs Trevor in the stomach, and then the bullies run away from the scene. Trevor is taken to the hospital, where he dies from his injuries. This news is reported on television as well as the fact that the movement is spreading across the country; Arlene and Eugene are soon visited by hundreds of people who have participated in or heard of the ’pay it forward’ movement by gathering in a vigil to pay Trevor their respects, including Trevor’s friends and classmates, as well as the bullies (who are now remorseful) and other students from his school.Cast[edit]

Leslie Dixon adapted the screenplay from the book of the same name by Catherine Ryan Hyde, which was available as an open writing assignment.[2] Dixon struggled with the adaptation of the book in part because of multiple narrative voices within it. Specifically, the reporter, the central character in the film, does not show up until halfway through the novel. Stuck, Dixon considered returning the money she was paid for the assignment.[3] She eventually hit upon the idea to start with the reporter and trace the events backward.[3] Dixon presented the idea to Hyde who in turn liked it so much that she decided to change the then unpublished novel’s plot structure to mirror the film’s.[4] In the novel, the character of Eugene Simonet was originally an African-American man named Reuben St. Clair. You’ve probably heard of Sky before as they’re a market leader in the entertainment and gaming industry and have massive offerings including bingo, sports betting and casino games. I posted here about a week ago. My son is addicted to gambling. A week ago he was going to stop. Now he is going to ’get it under control.’ It is impossible to talk to him about this horrible addiction ( compulsive gambling ) unless he comes to me first. And, unfortunately, that is when he has lost. I do not know what to do to help him. How do you watch a loved one destroy himself?? I can barely function. I live 100 miles away from the nearest Gam-Anon, and their meetings are on an evening when I can not go due to work. My son will not ask for help. He is young, proud, and, I imagine, afraid. Thank you for listening.
For those teens who are problem gamblers, gambling was a common and visible activity in their home. Teen problem gamblers had early gambling experience, often with a parent or someone else they looked up to. Teens with gambling problems were also likely to be heavier users of tobacco and alcohol, and to have used cannabis.

Maybe it would help if you found an ex-gambler that could give him some talking to, or show him some people that are in deep in gambling and ask him if that is how he wants to be.

I printed some of the pages off of this message board and showed it to my husband and let him know that I joined - I did not say much more than that but he did seem kind of interested and then when he wanted to try ’the allowance idea’ he kind of hinted that I should post that question to see the feedback that I got and he really liked a couple of your guys responses - So, try it out. Don’t badger him with it - just hand him some pages and let him read - Maybe he’ll join.

I have told him about this site. At the time he was determined to quit. He said he would check this site out, but he did not. Now, a week later, he is giving into the impulses, and says he will not. He says he can quit, or ’control’ his gambling on his own. He cannot. I am terribly frightened for him..
I just had a thought. I have asked my son to visit this site. At first he said he would, a week later ’no.’ (As I believe I said already) Do any of you have an idea on how I can, or if there is something I can say to him to get him to come to this site? I am careful with what I say to him, I do not tell him what to do. Only try to suggest. Right now he seems to be literally going crazy, because he is trying to stop.

It’s unfortunate, but most of us can’t get help until we admit we are powerless over gambling. Maui nites casino billings mt. Any thoughts we have that we can control it or limit it is really just another way the disease warps our thinking. And yes, he probably is literally going crazy..I was totally shocked at the feelings of withdrawal I had when I first became gambling-free.

I am trying to understand this addiction (compulsive gambling ). It is hard to understand. I would understand more if I were a cg. I have never had the desire to gamble, drink, or do drugs. I do not understand why some do, and some do not. I know we all have difficult things to deal with, why some of us turn to something destructive, and others don’t I do not know. There are those studying this. Our brains are all different.I know no one starts gambling for the reasons they now gamble, if they are a cg. My son started, for one reason, simply because it was there. EVERYWHERE. We live in Nevada. He makes bets on sports. He knows a lot about sports.
He won a lot of money, at first. He saw a program on t.v. about people making a 6-7 figure living betting on sports. That did it. He thought he could become wealthy. Others do. Yes, they actually do. But what kind of life do they have? Are they able to keep families? And, what is the percentage of those that do make a living at this? VERY small. Now he is addicted, and it is, perhaps HAS, destroyed him. He is very young (20’s). When his brother was in college I went to an orientation at the college. They told us that college students’ (there) biggest serious problem is not drinking, is not drugs, it is gambling. This is SO terrible. I wish the absolute very best for all of you. Hang in there. You deserve a good life. I do not think I can keep coming here and laying my problems on you. I will keep you in my thoughts, and prayers. I simply am feeling too down, too lost, to burden you who are dealing with this demon.
Shelley, artist block is when you are an artist, and you do not do your art. I teach art classes at the community college---I paint for class because I have to. But my own work, it does not get down. My worries get in the way. I have won many awards with my art, could do a lot with it. But my heart is just not in it.

please don’t pull away from the site..no matter what you are feeling there is someone else out there who feels the same. Maybe there are other Moms out there who have been here and read your posts, not thinking to reply, but taking comfort in knowing they are not alone. You are feeling lost, scared and depressed. I can’t possibly know what you are going thru because I’m on the other side of compulsive gambling, but I do know that it’s times like this we NEED to reach out for help. You mentioned that the nearest Gam-Anon meeting is miles away? There should be a phone number, for you to get in contact with someone from the group. Please try..even if you can’t make a meeting, maybe there is some alternative that is available. Just call!! Make that one small step to help yourself feel a little more pro-active in this problem. As a CG, I have absolutely no idea what the basic program is for Gam-Anon. I wish there was another member here that was involved in Gam-Anon.
Please don’t stop posting. Share your feelings, no matter how hard it seems. You are NOT burdening me! The more I progress in my recovery, the more I want to help others recover..and that includes those that are affected by a CG. Please, Jane, just try making the call to Gam-Anon. You have nothing to lose but a little long-distance charge, and maybe everything to gain.

Tonight I was reading the posts on Paul’s blog, and saw the gambling helper web address. It reminded me of how I met Paul---it was at the gh site. I posted here often, about my son, who is bets on sports. I am not sure anyone will remember; or if anyone is here any longer. It does not look like the site is active. Paul and I communicated often, and he was a big help. As were others here. Here is an update:I Think My Son Has A Gambling Problem Symptoms
My son tryed to quit off and on for some time. Then one day he decided to go to GA meetings. His father and I went with him the first day. He and his father cried at the meeting, hearing what they were hearing. I had already heard such stories, and it was not such a shock to me as it was to them. My son kept going, and it did help. Then he stopped going very often.
Then-------------almost two years ago a new treatment center for gambling addiction opened in the town where he lives. His father and I asked him if he would go, and he said yes. And, he did. He attended meetings there four evenings a week, and 3 evenings a week he went to GA meetings. The treatment program was for about 2 months. He never missed a meeting. I attended meetings for family members twice a week, driving almost 100 miles one way. The more I learned about the addiction, and also the role his father and I had in it (enabling, etc.) the better we were able to help him. (And ourselves.) The treatment center was a life saver. One of the good things about the center, it only costs $5 a meeting. If you do not have the $5, you do not have to pay. They really do want to help the cg. After finishing the program my son turned his finances over to me. I handled his finances for about a year, and now his girlfriend does. He has had one relapse in the last year, but is doing very well. I see the son I had before this nightmare returning more every day. There is hope.

A T-slot aluminum extrusion – as the name suggests – is an extrusion that is used to form a fixed cross-sectional profile by pushing aluminum stock through pre-formed dies. The company is continuing to increase its capacity following a recruitment drive, which has added an extra 300,000 home delivery slots to its website. A total of 700,000 slots will now be released each week, according to the Mirror. The best advice, though, is to simply keep checking Asda’s website to see whether any slots are available.
For those who are self-isolating, Asda has introduced a Volunteer Shopping Card. You can buy the card online, send it to your volunteer of choice and they can do your shop for you. No cash changes hands, and the card can be used contactlessly in-store using a barcode. It can also be topped up with extra funds online and no bank or credit card details are exchanged.
If you do manage to find an Asda home delivery slot, bear in mind that Asda has reduced the window in which you can amend an order to two days before its due date. You’ll also have less time to make any amends, with the cut off time now 10pm the day before your order is due. When it is almost your turn to enter the store, you will get a text to let you know.
The store will also be delivering Christmas groceries between December 21 and 23 with slots available to book online.

Booking an Asda home delivery slot remains a challenge, but the supermarket chain says it’s doing its best to meet unprecedented demand for online food orders.
In an attempt to prioritise its most vulnerable customers, Asda is working with the government’s vulnerable person database and offering customers who have registered a priority pass. These enable customers to set up a regular weekly home delivery slot at Asda, with shopping delivered contact free.

Both Asda’s home delivery and click & collect services now offer contactless delivery and collection to help reduce the spread of Covid-19. Like the majority of supermarkets, Asda is prioritising the elderly and vulnerable when it comes to allocating delivery slots.
The company is continuing to increase its capacity following a recruitment drive, which has added an extra 300,000 home delivery slots to its website. A total of 700,000 slots will now be released each week, according to the Mirror. The best advice, though, is to simply keep checking Asda’s website to see whether any slots are available.
For those who are self-isolating, Asda has introduced a Volunteer Shopping Card. You can buy the card online, send it to your volunteer of choice and they can do your shop for you. No cash changes hands, and the card can be used contactlessly in-store using a barcode. It can also be topped up with extra funds online and no bank or credit card details are exchanged.
If you do manage to find an Asda home delivery slot, bear in mind that Asda has reduced the window in which you can amend an order to two days before its due date. You’ll also have less time to make any amends, with the cut off time now 10pm the day before your order is due. ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco all have new Christmas shopping updates for their customers.
With just a few days left until Christmas, many of us are starting to stock up for our festive supplies.
But with next week predicted to be the busiest time for supermarkets, now stores have updated their rules in a bid to keep customers safe during the pandemic.
